β¦ Synopsis
Techniques available for long-range heteronuclear chemical shift correlation are briefly reviewed. A new pulse sequence for long-range heteronuclear chemical shift correlation is described. Comparison of the results obtained using the new pulse sequence with those from conventional long-range optimized heteronuclear chemical shift correlation is presented. Total Assignments of the 'H and 13C NMR spectra of l-benzothieno[2,3-~lquinoline, the model compound used for the study, are reported.

A modified long-range heteronuclear chemical shift correlation pulse sequence which eliminates modulations of response intensity due to one-bond proton-carbon I'J(CH)] spin couplings is described. The 'decoupling' of one-bond modulation has been accomplished through the use of a bilinear rotational
## Abstract __F__~1~ regionβselected variants of the HMBC experiment were compared and evaluated. In particular, a significant advantage was demonstrated for an EβBURPβ2 pulse over a Gaussian 270Β° pulse for regionβselected applications. The Gaussian 270Β° pulse would still, however, be the preferred
A proton-detected heteronuclear 'H-"P correlation experiment that uses z-pulsed field gradients to select coherences and suppress spectral artefacts is demonstrated for [d(G,T,G,)] 2 , an oligonucleotide which forms a 7 kDa DNA quadruplex in the presence of Na+ and displays considerable spectral ove
