The spin-crossover behavior of bis{hydro-tris(1,2,4triazolyl)borato}iron(II) is investigated in bulk and as a magnetically diluted sample in the solid state and in solution as a function of temperature by magnetic susceptibility measurements and differential scanning calorimetry. In the title compound, [Cu(C 16 H 16 N 4 ) 2 ](ClO 4 ) 2 , the Cu II atom lies on an inversion centre and has a distorted square-planar geometry. In each ligand, the dihedral angle between the triazole and pyridine rings is 9.1 (3) , and that between the triazole and benzene rings is 85.01 ( 14) .
