2-Benzoylpyridine semicarbazone (H2BzPS) and its complexes [Cu(H2BzPS)Cl 2 ] (1) and [Zn(H2BzPS)Cl 2 ] (2) have been synthesized and their spectral properties have been studied. The electrochemical behaviour of [Cu(H2BzPS)Cl 2 ] (1) has been investigated. [Cu(H2BzPS)Cl 2 ] (1) crystallizes in the tr
