β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Two different geometries of antennas are proposed to satisfy the applications for WLAN/HIPERLAN/ISM triple band. The designed antenna with a meanderβline antenna and one or two inverted planar Lβshaped antennas used to excite three distinct resonant modes is proposed. The experimental results show fairly good agreement with those of the simulation. Β© 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this paper, a novel compact printed monopole antenna with multiband operation for wireless local area networks (WLAN) is presented. A simple Cβshaped strip and a straight strip of this antenna provide two resonant paths to achieve 2.4β, 5.2β, and 5.8βGHz multiband operation. Good sim
## Abstract A wideband cylindrical monopole antenna is presented for multiple band applications. Wideband property of the proposed antenna is achieved by the additional resonance from a stepped base part and a convex ground plane. The measured β10 dB impedance bandwidths are 1.74β3.06 and 5.59β10.6
## Abstract New design of a compact antenna with slotted structure for multioperating bands of wireless communication systems is presented. By using compact configuration and slot designs on printed circuit board, the proposed antenna has the multiband measured operations for covering the 2.4βGHz W
An antenna capable of operation in two frequency bands allocated for cellular telephony is designed. The antenna consists of a dual meander and two passi¨e ground-attached metallic strips. The antenna is similar to a strip-slee¨e monopole in its construction and wideband operation in the proximity o
## Abstract The investigations on shortβcircuited microstrip patch antennas, which are able to generate multiple resonance frequencies in the wireless communication bands, are reported. In these antennas, by properly choosing the positions of shorted posts, good impedance matching can be obtained.
