Abstract
A novel interdigital coplanar waveguide (CPW) has been designed and fabricated and its characteristics have been studied as a function of transmission line parameters. In this interdigital CPW, the ground conductors are thickened by micromachining techniques, which are helpful for reducing the interference between the adjacent parallel sections of center conductor. Within the frequency range from 5 to 20 GHz, the return loss of this structure has two minimal values whose positions change with the structural parameters. Β© 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this letter, a new bandpass filter (BPF) with coplanar waveguide using interdigital capacitor and interdigital defected ground structure is proposed. The proposed BPF size is reduced about 33% compared to the BPF using a conventional DGS one. Both filters have lower and higher cutoff
## Abstract In this paper, nonlinear transmission lines (NLTLs) consisting of coplanar waveguides periodically loaded with shunt connected varactor diodes, periodically perturbed by varying the slot width, are studied. To our knowledge, this is the first time that these structures, combining a dist
In this paper, a new approach to optimally design a phase shifter consisting of a periodic array of ferroelectric-based tunable planar interdigital capacitors (IDCs) is presented. Spiral slots in the proposed configuration reduces the overall size and improves the performance by 30%.
The slow wave effect can be obtained by a capacitively loaded structure with a symmetrical interdigital line connected on both sides of the coplanar waveguide (CPW) central line. The ferroelectric thin film with high dielectric constant can reduce the size of circuit and make it possible to realize
