Abstract
This paper presents two types of phase shifters using parallel coupled lines as compact and broadband couplers. Phase shifts are enabled by varying the varactor capacitances or by switching the PIN diode ON/OFF. Both have shown about 40% bandwidth within Β±3.5Β° phase error. While an adjustable phase control over 65Β° is obtained by the phase shifter with varactor diodes, 180Β° is yielded by that with PIN diodes. Β© 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A new switchedβnetwork broadband phase shifter is presented in this paper. The proposed unique network consists of a fixed main line of length Ξ»/2, and Ξ»/8 parallel open and short stubs, which are shunted at the edge points of the main line. It has a more dispersive phase property than
## Abstract In this article, a compact tunable periodically LC loaded phase shifter using leftβhanded transmission line is presented. The unique nature of leftβhanded transmission line metamaterials enables reduced size, compared to conventional loaded line phase shifters realized as rightβhanded t
