## Abstract Ring‐opening metathesis polymerization of novel organoiron norbornene monomers functionalized with azobenzene chromophores using the Grubbs catalyst resulted in the production of the corresponding cationic organoiron polynorbornenes. UV‐vis analysis of the organometallic polymers in DMF
