Metabolic products of cancer cells have an inhibiting action on catalase. That healthy cells also contain catalase inhibitors was shown by inhibition experiments, chiefly with cell extracts from chicken embryos, which are characterized by accelerated cell growth similar to cancer tissue. Thermostabl
