β¦ Synopsis
Neut:on inelastic scntterinf spectra of 1,2-dichloroethane crystal have been measured at three temperatures above and below 177Β°K where the crystal undergoes a broad phase transition. Tfvo and three peaks have been observed in the hi& and low temperature phases, respectively. The frcqucncy distribution g(o) has been calculated in the first Briibuin zcnc for the low tempcrnture phnsc and is comp3rcd v.+th the observed spectra. The results show that the phase transition at 177Β°K is associated with rotational motion bf the molecule around the axis passing t!lrou$ two chlorine atoms.

## Abstract The vibrational spectra of the synthetic minerals crandallite and goyazite MAl~3~(OH)~6~(HPO~4~)(PO~4~) (M = Ca and Sr) were studied by means of vibrational (IR and Raman) and inelastic neutron scattering (INS) spectrometries at room and low temperatures. The results were discussed taki
