✦ Synopsis
In this paper we develop a method for computing near optimal decentrahsed control with a pre-speclfied degree of stability for large scale, hnear, interconnected dynamical systems All the calculations in the new method are performed off-hne using a three level hierarchical structure We provide a condition the satisfaction of which ensures that the system has a pre-speclfied degree of stablhty We also show that the control developed using the new method is more stable than the optimal decentrahsed control obtained by neglecting all interactions between the subsystems

Stabilizing and optimizing feedback control policies are derived for the important class of bilinear systems with generalized quadratric cost functions. These policies as well as the resulting optimal costs are quadratic in the state. The optimal cost function is shown to be a Lyapunov function for
The problem of synthesizing a law for the control of the plane motion of a wheeled robot is investigated. The rear wheels are the drive wheels and the front wheels are responsible for the turning of the platform. The aim of the control is to steer a target point to a specified trajectory and to stab
The linear problem of the optimal control of systems in which the input signals contain a time delay is considered. The method of realizing optimal feedback control that is proposed is based on a special procedure for correcting the current optimal programme controls, realized by an optimal controll
