Using a difference frequency spectrometer we have measured the widths, shifts and line mixing parameters of many lines in the fundamental band of CO perturbed by N 2 at approximately 50 kPa and 301 K. The spectral resolution was 6 1 10 05 cm 01 and the typical signal to noise ratio exceeded 2000. Th
