The title compound, C 35 H 31 NO 4 , which is a new amide podand ligand, contains an intramolecular hydrogen bond between the phenoxy O atom and the amide N atom. The packing is stabilized by weak C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen-bonding interactions.
