In the molecule of the title compound, C 8 H 10 N 2 O 2 , the dihedral angle between the planar furyl ring and the planar N-N C(-CH 3 )-C unit is 3.57 (3) . Intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.

In the title compound, C 11 H 13 N 5 O, which was synthesized by the reaction of 2-(1H-benzotriazol-1-yl)acetohydrazide with acetone, all bond lengths and angles are normal. Weak intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains running along the c axis.
