The Mössbauer spectrum of ferrous zirconium double sulphate \(\mathrm{FeZO}\left(\mathrm{SO}_{4}\right)_{2} \cdot 8 \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}\) shows a quadrupole split doublet at room temperature. The results are discussed in terms of high-spin \(\mathrm{Fe}\) (II) in distorted actahedral symmetry.
