β¦ Synopsis
In this paper the mutual diffusion coefficients of LiCl, NaCl and KC1 in aqueous solutions are calculakd for a large range of concellt, rations (up to 1M) using the Hypernetted Chain (HNC) a.nd Mean Spherical (MSA) approximations at the MC Millan Mayer level. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data. Good agreement is found between theory and experiment. The mut,ual diffusion coefficients of the salts are represented in terms of their average ionic diameters. Our theory explains also the plateau seen at high concentrations. A comparison between HNC and MSA is made.
