✦ Synopsis
A new approach, the multipole theory MT combined with the conformal transformation method, is presented for the computation of the capacitances of slab lines with offset cylindrical bars. With this new method, the capacitances of a slab line family with offset cylindrical bars are gi¨en. These data not only permit the exact design of ¨arious offset configurations of slab lines, but also pro¨ide a known accuracy for manufacturing ¨arious coaxial configurations of slab lines.
