✦ Synopsis

A new quasianalytical method, the multipole theory MT method, is described for the computation of cutoff wa¨enumbers of TE and TM modes in a rectangular coaxial transmission-line family. An extensi¨e comparison with the exact data of the literature and ¨arious configurations of a rectangular transmission-line family shows the accuracy and flexibility of the quasianalytical MT method. It has been shown that the MT method is an effecti¨e approach for the analysis of TE and TM modes in a rectangular transmission-line family.

A no¨el quasianalytical method of the multipole theory ( ) MT method is presented for analysis of a rectangular transmission line family consisting of a rectangular inner conductor located inside and a rectangular hollow outer conductor. The applied laws and procedures of the MT method are also intr
