✦ Synopsis

A cw dye laser is tuned over the B, A f-X transitions of Naz/Kz while a second laser or a high pressure lamp ionizes the excited stntcs. The ions CIE detected by mass-spcctromctry in the mixture of metal-atom clusters formed in a molecular noz-AC beam. The vibionic and flrovibronic spxtra obtained show the correct intensities as compared to laser-induced fluorescence. Perturbations of certain Naz A -X by the a 3 r~ manifold and of K2 B + X transitions by autoionizing levels are detccted. The laser power dcpendencc of the spectral intensities has been clarified.
