โฆ Synopsis
Two graphic techniques for representing multivariate archival accident data are presented for use AS an exploratory data analysis methodology. The first technique plots data into an Harmonic function of the form: fyi(t) = yA'(2) t y sin(t)+ y cos(t)+ y sin(2t) t . , over the range -= < I < TT. The second techyique plots data into a cartoon-like face, with each facial component (e.g. eyes, mouth. nose. etc.) representlng a different data vector. Both graphic techniques are discussed. with examples given. in relation to the exploratory analysis of accident data. with some discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of both techniques.
