✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A multi‐wavelength ytterbium‐doped fiber‐ring laser is obtained using a spatial‐mode beating filter, placing a section of a G.652 fiber sample into the single Yb‐doped fiber ring cavity. Up to six stable laser wavelengths can be obtained in the region of 1030 nm at room temperature. By changing the states of the polarization controller, the amount of lasing wavelength and the space can be controlled. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract An erbium‐doped fiber‐ring laser (EDFL) with more than 50 nm of continuous wavelength tuning was achieved and analyzed through a numerical approach. An angle‐tuned Fabry–Perot etalon was incorporated in the laser cavity as the wavelength‐selective element. The numerical values are in cl
In this paper, a multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber laser based on a microstructure fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is proposed and demonstrated. The fiber Bragg grating is fabricated in a large-air-hole microstructure optical fiber using the phase-mask method. The laser based on this novel grating can be
Multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) is demonstrated using a piece of a bismuth-based erbium-doped fiber (Bi-EDF) in a simple ring resonator. The proposed EDFL is able to generate up to 17 lines with a constant channel spacing of 0.41 nm at 1615.5 nm region using only a piece of 215 cm l
