✦ Synopsis

The I R spectra (KBr disks; 2000 to 400 cm-1) of ( I ) and ( 2) are almost identical with each other and very similar to the IR spectrum[121 of the analogous tin complex[131; ( I ) and ( 2 ) show three bands between 1380 and 1280 cm-1 at 1329, 1307 or 1304, and at 1281 cm-1, whereas the tin complex has only two bands in this region at 1335 and 1287 cm-1. The IR spectra of ( I ) and (21 are characteristic of phthalocyaninmetal complexes [Ill. ( I ) (cm-1): 1608 (w), 1497 (sh), 1471 (m), 1450 (vw). 1402 (w), 1381 (w), 1329 (s), 1307 (m), 1281 (m), 1180 (vw), 1160 (w), 1112 (s), 1069 (s), 999 (w), 941 (vw). 880 (m), 866 (vw), 811
