Ah&met-The moment-of-momentum balance for moving surfaces tiith simultaneous mass transfer to the adjacent phases is developed to show that the surface stress tensor is symmetric. The momentum balance previously presented by SCRIVEN is extended to account for the effects of mass transfer between the
