โœฆ Synopsis

Abstraet-Experimental molecular ditfusivity data were obtained for two ternary liquid systems with a dilute solute diffusing in a very non-ideal solvent mixture and a second dilute solute in a viscous solvent mixture using the diaphragm-cell method. Using only the diffusion data of the solute in each of the two pure solvents and viscosity data of the mixtures, a modified equation was shown to predict the diffusion data over the entire solvent mixture concentration range. A modified Wilke-Chang type equation was also used.

## Abstract A numerical method for simulating spinodal decomposition in ternary systems with orderโ€ofโ€magnitude differences in diffusion coefficients is presented. The method has been partially verified by molecular dynamic simulations and gives results equivalent to the standard technique when the

The theoretical description of multicomponent diffusion in liquids is still at an early stage of development. The multicomponent diffusion coefficients strongly depend on the composition of the mixture. In order to calculate accurate mass transfer coefficients, extensive measurements of diffusiviti

An analysis is made of the usefulness of the analytical solution for the case of ons-dimensional diffusion in a homogeneous three-component system, in which it is assumed that all the diffusion coefficients are independent of concentration. It is shown that the solution becomes trivial if it is app

A simple batch sorption method is examined for diffusivity determinations of binary solutions of low molecular weight organic compounds in amorphous polymers. The method is based on solute uptake from a stirred liquid solution by a polymer sheet sample submerged in the liquid solution and measuremen
