β¦ Synopsis
The photodissociation of 3-C,H5Br and 1-C,H5Br at 193 nm was studied by TUF technique in a pulsed molecular beam apparatus. The center-of-mass translational energy distribution P(E,) was obtained by simulation fitting the experimental TOF speo tra. Evidence was found for competition of hydrogen migration leading to isomerization, with dissociation of 1-CsH5Br. Rich intramolecular dynamics indicated by the experimental observation were discussed.
