โฆ Synopsis
Structure modification tests of a staged pulse tube refrigerator have been carried out for the purpose of increasing the performance and simplicity. The influence of operation parameters on cooling effect has been tested. To reach liquid helium temperatures by a two-stage pulse tube refrigerator, a double-orifice configuraton is utilized for enhancing the phase shift effect. Experimental results and a discussion are also presented. 0 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.

A miniature pulse tube refrigerator reaching temperatures below 100K has been developed. In this paper the test results of the refrigerator are reported. The refrigerator is a orifice pulse tube refrigerator. It is based on a miniature Stifling refrigerator. It consists of a compressor, a cold head
The first two-stage pulse tube refrigerator, providing a lowest temperature of 2.23 K and a cooling power of 370 mW at 4.2 K, employed a parallel arrangement of the two pulse tubes with phase shifters located at room temperature'. With the aim of increasing the COP at liquid 4He temperatures, three
A study on the experimental performance of a hybrid cooler is presented. The two-stage unit consists of a commercial single-stage GM refrigerator to precool a pulse tube stage capable of reaching a minimum temperature of 2.2 K. The pressure waves for both stages are generated separately by independe
