Complexes 1 and 2 were synthesized by the reaction of [Mn-(salen)]ClO 4 (42.0 mg, 0.1 mmol) and K[Fe(bpmb)(CN) 2 ] [11] (48.0 mg, 0.1 mmol) or K[Fe(bpb)(CN) 2 ] [11] (46.5 mg, 0.1 mmol) in MeOH/ MeCN/H 2 O (10 mL, volume ratio 6:3:1) at room temperature. Uniform, well-shaped, red-brown single crystals were collected after about three days. Both 1 and 2 were isolated in high yield (ca. 60 %).
