โฆ Synopsis
The miscibility of tetramethylbisphenol-A polycarbonate (TMPC) with poly(styrene-cotetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate) (STHFMA) and with poly(p-methylstyrene-co-tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate) (MSTHFMA) was studied. TMPC is miscible with STHFMA having THFMA content less than 50 mol% and with MSTHFMA having THFMA content less than 53 mol%. On the basis of the miscibility behaviour of the blends and also blends of TMPC with poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) reported by Fernandes et al., various segmental interaction parameters have been evaluated.
