✦ Synopsis

The Annual Meeting of The Franklin Institute was held at 8:15 P.M. in the Lecture Hall. \Vynn Laurence LePage, President, called the meeting to order with approximately 385 members and guests present. Mr. LePage called attention to the fact that this meeting occurs attspiciously on the 256th Anniversary of the birth of our patron saint, Benjamin Franklin.

The President stated that the minutes of the Stated Meeting of December 20, 1961, will be published in the January issue of the JOURNAL and will be presented for approval at the next Stated Meeting of the Institute.

The President called on the Chairman of the "Fellers of Election, Dr. Joseph S. llepburn, for the Report of the Tellers, who had been appointed in accordance with the By-Laws to count the votes for ten Managers to be elected. Dr. Hepburn reported that 2073 votes were cast, of which 1914 were legal and 159 defective, and the nominees received votes as follows:
