โœฆ Synopsis

Interdigitated capacitors haยจe been fabricated on ferroelectric thin films of Sr Ba TiO . These deยจices haยจe been characterized 0 .5 0 .5 3 at microwaยจe frequencies from 50 MHz to 20 GHz, and haยจe a 3.4:1 tuning range oยจer a 1แސ40 V bias range. This is shown to originate from a relatiยจe dielectric constant tuning of 3.8:1. The microwaยจe losses exhibited by these capacitors are comparable to those of commercially aยจailable semiconductor ยจaractors for frequencies greater than 1 GHz, and should be useful for tunable microwaยจe circuits in some 300 K *Currently with Texas Instruments, Inc., Plano, Texas.

A novel bromoboron trinitro-subphthalocyanine (BTN-SubPc) thin film has been developed for write-once optical recording by vacuum evaporation. The spectral and optical properties of the film are studied. Some information may be useful when dealing with recording applications, such as uniformity and
