✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A series of pyrazolines 4a–h has been synthesized by Michael addition of chalcones 3a–h with hydrazine hydrate in the presence of sodium acetate under conventional heating or microwave irradiation. Structures of the newly synthesized pyrazolines 4a–h have been established on the basis of IR, ^1^H, ^13^C NMR and mass spectral data.
