✦ Synopsis


Because of the high thermic and molecular stability allied with a high hydrogen content, the parapolyphenyl (C6H4)% was designed to be tritiated at a very high speciJc activity and used as target for the production of 14 MeV neutrons in accelerator.

This paper presents the microsynthesis of tritiated polyphtnyl. Two syntheses have been undertaken, the specijic activity of which are respectively 11 CImM and 31 CImM.

The isotopic yields and autoradiolysis of these polymers have been tested.

## Abstract In order to study the binding on acetolactate synthase, a tritiated herbicide sulfonylurea (thifensulfuron methyl) of high specific activity was synthesized. By use of C^3^H~3~I for esterification of an acid group, a rapid incorporation of tritium into this compound may be achieved.
