The composition of the essential oil obtained from the dried flowering aerial parts of Teucrium chamaedrys (Labiatae) was analysed by GC and GC-MS. Forty-nine components were identified in the this oil. The major constituents of the essential oil were germacrene D (16.5%), (Z)-β β β β β-farnesene (1
