## Abstract Microbiological reaction of 19‐nortestosterone with __Penicillium__ sp.ATCC 11598 leading to about equal amounts of the 15α‐hydroxy‐derivative and 15α‐hydroxy‐19‐nor‐androst‐4‐one‐3,17‐dione is described. Fermentation of 19‐nortestosterone with __Fusarium orthoceras__ afforded mainly 15
