The maceral density fractions separated from PSOC-106 and PSOC-852 bituminous coals were reacted with tetralin at 420ยฐC for 6 min. Both THF and pyridine solubility decrease smoothly with an increase in density or a decrease in H/C atomic ratio. In addition, a higher carbon aromaticity leads to a low
