A series of alternative designs for the attachment of the seal housing to a large slurry pump is covered by this patent. The purpose is to improve pump efficiency and maintenance, and overcome problems associated with lifting into place replacement seal housings. The housing can be adjustable and hence pump clearances can be reduced to improve efficiency. A large number of options are described using 59 figures.
