Abstract

The preparation of 2.5‐diphenyl‐1‐silacyclopentadienes and their reaction with iron carbonyls and π‐cyclopentadienyl‐dicarbonylcobalt yielding metal‐π‐silole complexes is described. Mass spectral data indicate the existence of an ‘aromatic’ silacyclopentadienyl species.
