## Abstract Pentachloronitrobenzene‐^14^C~6~ was synthesized in 81.7% yield by exhaustive chlorination of nitrobenzene‐^14^C~6~. Hexachlorobenzene‐^14^C~6~ was produced in 11% yield as a byproduct of the reaction.

## Abstract Starting with benzene‐U‐^14^C pentachloronitrobenzene‐U‐^14^C has been prepared by nitration followed by chlorination with antimony pentachloride in the presence of aluminum chloride.
