✦ Synopsis

The non-exponential time dependence of spiropyran e merocyanine transformation in a co-polymer has been reinvestigated experimentally and analysed in terms of a disp_ersive first-order chemical feacrion. Non-exponential dependence can be accounted for by a Gaussian distribution of activation energies whose width decreases with increasing temperature.

The photochromic behaviour of l-methyl-2,4,4,6-tetraphenyl-1,4-dihydropyridine (DHP) in the solid state is described. The time dependence of the colour decay process is analysed in terms of a dispersive first-order chemical reaction. The non-exponential dependence can be accounted for by a Gaussian

This article reports a new ''one-step'' synthesis of graft polymers based on the radical/cationic transformation polymerization. Using the synthetic method proposed, a graft polymer (PVAc-g-[P(AN-r-BVE)b-PCHO]) consisting of a partly hydrolyzed poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc-OH) backbone and block polyme
