โœฆ Synopsis

Wistar-Kyoto rats are the original normotensive strain of the spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR). Fifty male Wistar-Kyoto rats were fed 15 g/day of pelleted food containing mercuric chloride (HgCl 2 ) at dose levels of 0, 1, 3, 10, or 30 g/g over a period of 21 weeks. No dose-related difference in blood pressure was observed in normotensive rats of the Wistar-Kyoto strain fed mercuric chloride.
