The effects of naloxone and 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) pretreatment on convulsions induced by meperidine and normeperidine were studied in male Swiss-Webster mice. The CD50 (95% confidence limits) was found to be 17.5 mg/kg (15.6-19.6) for meperidine and 38.0 mglkg (36.2-39.9) for normeperidine adm
