## Abstract ## Objectives This study compares interβ and intraβcountry differences in the prevalence of physical restraints and antipsychotic medications in nursing homes, and examines aggregated resident conditions and organizational characteristics correlated with these treatments. ## Methods
The mental and physical capacity of all persons living permanently in a nursing home in Bergen were estimated and their neuroleptic drug consumption and duration of stay were registered.
