## Abstract Membrane protein alterations during the early stages of sporuloation were examined by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Solubilized samples of the vegetative cell membrane (VCM), sporulation membrane fraction (SMF), and inner forespore membranes (IFM) were compared with respect to the
