We proposed a unique application of optical waveguide (OWG) spectroscopy under noncontact condition to analyze the electrochemical redox reaction of molecules on the electrode surface. The spectral change of cytochrome c (cyt.c), induced by the potential switching, was clearly detected. In addition,
