A~tract--The photo-oxidation of butadiene rubber (BR) was studied in detail using films of a commercially available material, containing 33% cis-l,4-, 56Β°/o trans-l,4and 12% 1,2-vinylic units. The spectral data of the products showed that during photo-oxidation the following functional organic group

β¦ Synopsis
Products from both the thermal and photo-oxidation of poly-butadiene have been studied using various analytical techniques such as infra-red and ultra-violet spectroscopy, gas-liquid chromatography and phosphorescence emission and phosphorescence excitation spectroscopy. Analyses have allowed a plausible mechanism to be formulated for the photo-oxidation of this polymer, consistent with all the observed physical and chemical changes. Both photo-and thermal oxidative polymer degradation initially result in the formation of ~/1-unsaturated carbonyls which, under photo-degrading conditions, are subsequently photolysed to yield the observed final products.

## Abstract This paper presents a study on the photolysis of PVC in the presence of different types of tin stabilizers. Using physicochemical methods such as ESR spectroscopy, conductivity titration, gel permeation chromatography, and absorption spectroscopy, the mechanism of PVC photolysis has bee
The kinetics of oxidation of nitrite to nitrate by peroxornonophosphoric acid in aqueous acid medium have been studied. The observed monotonic fall in rate with increasing pH of the medium has been rationalized on the basis of proton-dissociation equilibria of the substrate as well as the oxidant sp
## Abstract Protonation of poly(__o__βtoluidine) base form (POTβEB) with 5βsulfosalicylic acid (SSA) was proved experimentally and computationally. Molecular mechanics (MM+) calculations showed that the potential energy (PE) of the optimum molecular geometric structure of SSAβdoped POT is 4.703 Γ 1
The photo-oxidation of n-heptane in synthetic air containing methyl nitrite and nitric oxide has been ivestigated in an atmospheric flow reactor. By measuring the total yields of heptyl nitrate products, relative to the depletion of the n-heptane, the rate constant ratio, k36/k30 has been determined
