✦ Synopsis

This paper presents the results of investigations on some carbon ceramic TVO resistance temperature sensors during thermal cycling and hydrostatic pressure tests. In addition to already performed cycling tests with moderate temperature changes, now very harsh cycling conditions with temperature changes up to 40 K/s were applied to ®nd out the mechanical stability of the design of such sensors. Furthermore, some tests with hydrostatic pressure were done in order to get additional information of the sensor characteristic. For better understanding of the construction of these sensors one of them was cut and prepared for demonstration of the areas where mechanical forces appears.

This paper reports about the investigations on the behavior of carbon ceramic resistance temperature sensors TVO in magnetic ®elds at 4.2 K. Results of eight sensors are analyzed up to 15 T. The resistance of the sensors at 15 T increased by about 6±14%, this correspond to a temperature change of ab

The high temperature creep behaviors of Cr3C 2 composite were investigated under compressive and bending creep. The stress exponent and activation energy of Cr3C 2 composite were obtained at 1000 and 1050 °C. Assuming different tensile and compressive responses in a ceramic material, bending creep r
