Abstract
Measurements have been made of the electricity of precipitation, the potential gradient and the rate of rainfall. The results for the winter of 1957/58 show general agreement with those of earlier workers, in giving a linear relation between potential gradient and precipitation current, but those of the summer of 1958 are less crdered. Comparisons have been made of the currents to open and shielded receivers, and show general agreement. The βmirrorβimage effectβ and time delays connected with it have also been studied, without any complete explanation.
