β¦ Synopsis
A new general index for the measurement of fuzziness has been suggested in this paper. It has been shown that a continuous, S-concave function of the fuzzy membership values will suffice for constructing an index of fuzziness. The general index satisfies all the postulates for an index of fuzziness proposed by De Luca and Termini (1972).

A new approach to fuzzy optimization based on the generalization of Bellman-Zadeh's (BZ) concept is proposed in this article. It consists of a parametric generalization of intersection of fuzzy sets and a generalized defuzzification method. This approach allows the solving of a fuzzy mathematical pr
## Abstract The paper proposes a flexible way to build concepts within fuzzy logic and set theory. The framework is general enough to capture some important particular cases, with their own independent interpretations, like βantitoneβ or βisotoneβ concepts constructed from fuzzy binary relations, b
In this paper, the concept of fuzzy-valued fuzzy measures is introduced at first and then, based on the generalized fuzzy integral given by Wu et al. [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 57 (1993) 219], the generalized fuzzy integral of fuzzy-valued functions with respect to fuzzy-valued fuzzy measures is define
