✦ Synopsis
The measurements of D u P r 6 on paramagnetic relaxation in chromium potassium alum at liquid helium temperatures are continued; it is found possible by some changes in the experimental arrangement to obtain the imaginary part of the differential susceptibility with a better accuracy than before. Experimental data obtained at liquid helium temperatures on the real and imaginary part of the differential susceptibility are given for chromium potassium alum. These data appear to be in very good agreement with the simple formulae proposed by C a s i m i r and D u P r 6. The results are further discussed in connection with a theory given by Van Vleck.
