โœฆ Synopsis

The mean spherical approximation for a multicomponent mixture of charged hard spheres with sticky interactions in a uniform neutralizing background is solved analytically. When the sticky parameters are of the form A v ~ w~wj +_ vivj, then the correlation functions and the excess thermodynamic properties are explicitly expressed through a single parameter F, which can be obtained by solving an algebraic equation. In the one-component case, an explicit expression for the parameter F is obtained.

Multicomponent model of dimerizing charged hard spheres embedded in a rigid, uniform, and neutralizing background is proposed as a reference system to describe the equilibrium properties of liquid metals and alloys as well as metal-molten salt mixtures. The analytic solution of the associative mean
