The far-k. spectra of films of ionomers based on styrene-acrylic acid copolymers obtained by copolymerization in emulsion in the 8&450 cm-' region have been studied. For each ionomer, an intense and broad absorption band, whose frequency is cation mass dependent has been observed and assigned to cat
